Orange Beef

This is a great recipe when you are in the mood for authentic tasting chinese food at home.

Sauce:
1tsp minced garlic
1/2 cup orange marmalade
1 cup low sodium beef broth
1 tsp soy sauce
1 tsp cayanne pepper (it is super spice with a full tsp...you might want to use a 1/4 or 1/2 if you don't like it very spicy)
2 tsp cornstarch

Beef:
1 1/2 pouds flank steak cut into 1inch strips
salt and pepper
1/2 cup cornstarch

For Sauce:
Heat oil and fry garlic (don't brown)
Add Maralade, 1/2 cup broth, soy sauce and cayanne pepper
Bring to boil and reduce heat to simmer for 5 minutes
Combine cornstarch and other 1/2 cup of broth, simmer until thickened.

For Steak:
Season steak with salt and pepper
Dredge in cornstarch. Fry steak in pan until cooked through.

Mix the steak in with the sauce and serve with rice.

We added some asian medley veggies to the sauce with the meat and served over rice!
